On March 15, the national data center operator will close on its purchase of Pryme TechnologiesLLC of Ashburn, which currently leases out a different building in the three-building campus. Latisys is taking over the 71,192-square-foot lease. That lease and its 52,000-square-foot deal both run through May 2021. Latisys, which operates data centers in Denver, Chicago and Irvine, Calif., changed its name from Managed Data Holdings LLC about a year ago as part of the company’s brand strategy. First Potomac Realty Trust (NYSE: FPO) recently bought the 194,183-square-foot campus from MRP Realty for $14 million. The campus, which has been partially built out as a data center, has other tenants that include Odin Technologies, MCW Solutions LLC and PullThePlug Technologies LLC. When First Potomac bought the site in December, it was 45 percent leased. Bethesda-based First Potomac is in final lease negotiations with another tenant. If finalized, it would bring the property to 100 percent occupancy. |
