Latisys Joins Microsoft Software + Services Incubation Center Program

Latisys, a leading provider of colocation, managed hosting, managed services and disaster recovery solutions, today announced that it has been accepted to the Microsoft Software + Services Incubation Center Program _ which joins leading Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) with Hosting Providers so that ISVs can more effectively add a service-based delivery application to their business offerings.

Denver, COLORADO (October 5, 2009) – Latisys, a leading provider of colocation, managed hosting, managed services and disaster recovery solutions, today announced that it has been accepted to the Microsoft Software + Services Incubation Center Program – which joins leading Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) with Hosting Providers so that ISVs can more effectively add a service-based delivery application to their business offerings.

The Microsoft Software + Services Incubation Center Program eases the commercial, financial, and technical challenges ISVs encounter while adding a service-based delivery application to their business offerings. Microsoft has established global capabilities so Latisys and other Microsoft Gold Certified Hosting Partners can provide ISVs with business development consulting, technical design services, reliable and secure hosting infrastructure and special licensing pricing.

“Our Software + Services Incubation Center Program provides participating ISVs with access to expertise and services from leading hosting providers not available elsewhere,” said John Zanni, general manager of the Worldwide Software + Services Industry Team for the Communications Sector at Microsoft Corp. “The addition of Latisys helps us continue to expand the offerings available to ISVs, and is one we believe will benefit those involved with the program.”

Latisys’ colocation, managed hosting and virtualized server capabilities enable customers to leverage its enterprise-class data centers for their SaaS applications and deployments. ISVs in the Microsoft program can benefit greatly from Latisys’ expertise working with SaaS solutions providers to ensure their business model and applications are ready for service-based delivery.

“We are excited to join the Microsoft Software + Services Incubation Center Program as we continue to see greater demand among ISVs for scalable outsourced IT infrastructure management solutions that can enable SaaS applications,” said Don Goodwin, Latisys executive vice president, sales and marketing. “By collaborating with the nation’s most respected software vendors, Latisys has a unique opportunity to build strategic partnerships, attract new customers and drive revenue.”

Latisys` SaaS infrastructure solutions provide a secure, scalable, global, and function-rich cloud hosting platform that enable fast, economical, and reliable deployment of SaaS applications. The solutions meet the demand of a growing trend today where existing and new SaaS providers are looking to outsource their IT infrastructure so they can focus on their core business.
